SOFTWARE:


  • Garage Band: Free with mac, easy to use and good quality.

  • Guitar Rig 5: Still, guitar effects and sounds in Garage Band suck. You better use this. It has several presets and tons of possibilities.

  • EZdrummer: Create your own drumms with this loop based plugin. 





LEARNING METHODS:




Lick Library

Lot of video-tutorials to learn how to play, for all levels and styles.











Ultimate Guitar

Tabs for Guitar Pro and a community with music and gear reviews and news. Most of them, metal.


This guy has a great book with lot of exercises.
